Jo - Telesales
I come to work full of confidence and positivity every morning as no two days are the same. I plan my day as my computer loads up and 9.00am on the dot the fun begins. Some days are better than others but generally every day is a joy to be at work. I had never done sales before I started at Riskdisk in September 2008 and in all honesty I wasn't sure the job would be my thing, but I love it! I get to speak to different people from all walks of life, not just on the phone but in the workplace as well, and I have to understand people’s needs and find ways to help them and offer great service. I think it is fair to say Riskdisk has changed my life. I am more confident and more money focused, and I understand much more about how businesses work than I ever did before.
Lesley - Data Quality
Riskdisk employed me as Customer Support Manager in May 2002 when I was looking for a change from the Banking Industry. I have always found the company to be supportive and keen to utilise and develop people’s skills by finding roles which best suit them. After a number of years in Customer Support I was given a new opportunity as Data Quality Manager and the chance to develop and hone my data skills to my own, the company’s and the customers’ advantage. As a company, we support many charity events as well as involving ourselves in the local community. There are regular company wide meetings to keep us in the picture as to how the company is growing and social events to give everyone across the business a chance to get together and enjoy a few drinks and a bite to eat. Our offices are modern and provide a good working environment and this, combined with great staff benefits makes Riskdisk a good employer. You are an individual here, not just a means to an end.
Sam - Accounts
Since joining Riskdisk in November 2002 I have enjoyed working and getting to know some great people. I am part of the Accounts team that deals with orders generated by the sales department. We speak to and email customer regarding orders and any queries they may have. We maintain customer records, send invoices and call for direct debit mandates. The hours are fantastic. We never have to work weekends or evenings. The social events organised by the company are brilliant.
Jamie - Customer Development
I joined Riskdisk in 2005 and progressed through various Telesales roles to Customer Development where I now work as an Account Manager. I speak to our existing customers, upgrading and renewing their subscriptions and helping with any queries. The company offers plenty of opportunities within sales for career progression and salary increases. The individual and team targets are achievable (with a bit of hard work) and there are numerous incentives. In the past I have been rewarded with skiing at Xscape, a helicopter flight and Go-Karting with the team. The Company organises regular team events such as climbing in the French Alps and the UK Three Peaks Challenge.
Grahame - Telesales
I started at Riskdisk in April 2009 in a Telesales role. I make calls to potential customers and talk them through a demonstration of Riskdisk.com so they can experience the services we can offer their business. The Supervisors and Managers are eager to teach and nurture us to become better at our jobs. This results in more sales, which means more commission for me and an even brighter future for the company. I also like the fact the company offers committed employees plenty of scope to progress and earn more money through the Sales Development Programme.
Heather - Customer Support
I have been employed at Riskdisk for 5 years. I work part-time and as a working mum I have always appreciated the company’s flexibility. My job in Customer Support is very rewarding and no two days are the same. We work in a team environment where everyone is very friendly, even the Directors. Customer and employee numbers are continuing to grow so the company must be doing something right. In my time here we have had some great moments and I’m sure there will be plenty more to come.
Steve - Telesales
Since starting at Riskdisk in 2004 I have undertaken a variety of roles progressing from Trainee Telesales initially to Performance Manager now. Along the way I have done various Telesales roles, been a Team Supervisor, Sales Coach and the New Business Sales Manager. The company is good at providing training to bring the best out of people and help them progress. I have completed an array of internal and external training courses to develop my skills and knowledge within Sales and Management. When I joined the Company I was told that you get out of the company what you put in. That couldn’t be truer. There are lots of successful people here who put a lot of effort in and are well rewarded.
Cath - IT Support
I joined in January 2002 and I’m still here, so that tells you Riskdisk can’t be a bad company to work for! After a short spell in Customer Support I moved into IT Support. I’ve done a variety of technical roles over the years and with technology changing daily I am always learning. My job is very varied. I can be climbing ladders or crawling under desks one day then learning code another. Riskdisk gave me an opportunity and I’ve not wasted it. Thomas Edison once said “opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work”. If you want a great opportunity, Riskdisk can offer it. You just need to come and get it.
Sian - Telesales
Since joining Riskdisk in February 2006 I have progressed through a number of Telesales roles. I started in Telemarketing offering free product trials over the telephone. Once I had developed my product knowledge and sales skills I moved to Telesales, doing cold calls, demonstrations and sales. After 7 months I was promoted to Specialist Telesales. There are still a number of levels within Telesales that I can progress to and I look forward to achieving this.
Mandy - Telesales
I have worked at Riskdisk for 13 months and have really enjoyed it so far! Here you work hard and play harder as I found out at the top of a Welsh mountain in August. It is a close team and hard work is rewarded with great help along the way. And, it is the only place I have ever worked where it is OK to come to work in pyjamas!
